It was organized by North-West Funding Service Centre in the framework of project &amp;quot;Developing a Russian- Swedish -Finnish NGO partnership for joint study of international financial tools for public sector (with special focus on environment)&amp;quot;. Project is funded by the Nordic Council of Ministers' Exchange Programme for cooperation between Nordic and Russian NGO. The main project activity was study visit to Sweden and Finland in which representatives of NGOs and local and regional authorities of North-West Russia took part (8 persons in total). The following organizations participated in the study visit: Northwest Funding Service Centre, St. Petersburg Centre for Transboundary Cooperation, Union of Cities of the South Kola Peninsular, PskovRegionInfo, State Committee of the Pskov region on Economic Development, Industry and Investment. Russian participants visited a number of organizations in Nordic countries: in Sweden - NATURAL STEP INTERNATIONAL, Northern Dimension Partnership in Public Health and Social Well-being, NORDEN ASSOCIATION, SIPU International, Baltic- 21 Secretariat; in Finland - Baltic Region Association, SYKE-Finnish Environment Institute, SYKLI- Finnish Environment School, European Water, Lake and River System Development Association, FCG-Finnish Consulting Group, Nordea Bank. The main project results: - A partnership of 13 NGO's from Russia, Finland and Sweden have been formed to make a potential team for joint projects in environmental, energy efficiency and other sectors - New approaches and technologies of fundraising for NGO's in Northern Europe have been studied - 3 project ideas of joint project have been identified for further project implementation within the created partner network; financial resources for the projects have been identified from the ones learnt during the visit; - Experience studied and lessons learnt have been presented to the Russian NGO's; - A number of publications have been made to disseminate project information.
